In this paper, we study the optical attenuation behavior of several kinds of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) including pure SWNT, modified with COOH, NH2, and OH all with the thickness of 5 m. We focus on attenuation in communication wavelength range between 1260 and 1640 nm for non-amplification, and 1520-1570 nm for optical amplification setup.
